You either knew it was going to be shit and then when it came out and was shit that didn't disappoint you OR you were a shit eating redditor spamming "vicky 3 when?" and then you diligently ate your slop when it came out because you are completely devoid of critical thinking skills.
>>2094962 (OP) If you are disappointed with Vicky 3, it by default means you were expecting anything else than a shitshow. So you only have yourself to blame. Nobody sane was expecting anything else than a half-baked game, especially given the dev diaries.
>>2094965 i thought it was going to be good based off the early dev diaries and then that qa build leaked and it was irredeemable

why do solo dev passion projects have more depth and content than victoria 3 They spend all their efforts on history/believable nonsense for role players than making a real game
>>2095126 >Durrr I want a game to be a completely different game Not going to happen. You already have thousands of games catering to low IQ retards, no need for another one
>>2094994 >>2094991 >>2094965 This. Stellaris had promise, no one was dissapointed by V3 - anyone with brain knew it was going to be redditor commie propaganda slop.
>>2095261 I wish Vi3's problem was merely not being edgy enough for you, anon. I seriously wish that was the biggest problem, because that's easy moddable. Try to unfuck the population system or how broken trade is. Good luck with that.
>>2095271 Don't you know that zoomers are the perfect cosumers? They will buy ANYTHING at ANY price, as long you tell them to - and your marketing doesn't even have to be subtle. Extra points if you promise them that they will owe [insert group your target demo hates] by buying your product.

Give it three to four years and vic 3 will finally be a good game ..... ;-;
>>2094962 (OP) Stellaris is continuously the biggest disappointment ever made by PDX. Imperator is a close second. Vicky 3? Nobody even hoped it's going to be good, people openly prepared for a clusterfuck.

>>2095270 >broken trade Not realy? Not after last update. You can make economy heavily dependent on exports and/or imports.

The big issue I had with it was that I have to spend like 95% of my time manually managing production and constantly re-evaluating my trade routes even with full laissez faire policies. And it was a bit buggy even 2 years after release when I first pirated it. Also ran like shit and sometimes made my 4070TIS scream with buggy map icons. But the political stuff was actually fun and didn't seem particularly woke to me. I even felt pushed to religious fascism as the smoothest and most stable form of government.
It also sucked that they listened to the crying retarded map painters and added army micromanagement again.
Stellaris and HOI4 are much bigger disappointments though.
>>2095827 The end goal is not it "getting better", it's it being fixed. A punch in the face is better than a kick in the balls, but neither are desirable.
>>2095834 well give it more time. Certainly it will be fixed after 3 to 4 years. right....

>>2095166 >>2095161 i want the game to be completely the same but on a balanced symmetrical map with a UI designed for full gamespeed play
>>2094962 (OP) The reason why Victoria III was disappointing for many is because it was marketed as a Victoria II sequel despite playing entirely differently. If it was marketed differently, like as a first installment of its own franchise instead of being a sequel, the entire V2 vs V3 debate wouldn't have happened.
>>2094962 (OP) PDX or in general? >PDX Stellaris, no contest >In general Ho boy... just from recent times, we've got Meme Lords, Terra Invicta and Last Train Home (do you even REMEMBER this one?)

>>2098374 There is "I wasn't expecting SMAC 2" and then there is "Jesus fuck, what a piece of shit this is" when it comes to BE. It was such a monumentally bad game, I'm still confused why they even bothered. It's clear they didn't care, but why even bother making it?
