it makes no sense that you are disincentivized from founding towns/cities on high value RGOs.
For example, Lviv was the only major town in the area of Red Ruthenia but since it produces Dyes it's better to make it a rural location and found a town somewhere else in the province so you can get more levels of the RGO.
I think they should categorize the RGOs so you only lose on stuff like Wheat, Wild Game etc. Losing Dyes/Gold/Silver etc is retarded. If anything you should get increased max levels of those AND even higher Production Efficiency bonus to the buildings that use your Location's RGO.

The problem is even bigger if your starting city is on a good RGO, if you were playing Halych you are sitting on the only Dye RGO in eastern Europe outside of Danzig which is also a city.
Im playing Muscovy, it's 1380 and Lviv has 17k people living there and max level 6 of Dyes.
40 years isnt that much but if you downgraded to rural you would make more profit

And Im not talking about whether it's worth it to downgrade and build another town elsewhere in the province. It just doesnt make sense that you are weakening your economy by having towns on high value RGOs

EU4 feels like a very arcade-y game that's great for achievement hunting but less good for getting the feel of running a nation, expansion is just too easy.
There's a legitimate case that EU3 is a better game but it has its flaws too (its map wasn't great, and its handling of Sengoku Japan in particular is a real wtf moment, though a lot of mods fix it) and paradox was not good at interface design back then.
Then again I still play CK2 over CK3... Victoria 3 is legit the only new paradox offering that's supplanted the old for me, though I have high hopes for EU5 once I upgrade my machine to run it.

I was playing Serbia and I got an event that gave me CB on Macedonia+Thessaly and some rewards if I achieve that.

However, when I managed to conquer those provinces I wasn't able to see that event, victory conditions or rewards anywhere. I could only see the modifier my ruler got when it fired.

After 7 full days with this game I still haven't had enough.
It is an absolute pleasure to be experiencing this game with all of you, my absolute lads, and the more I chew on it the more I come to the conclusion this is already the best grand strategy game of all time. I have absolutely no desire to play EU4 ever again. I may find myself playing a game of CK2 or HOI2 but for completely different reasons that are not really Grand Strategy.
I think I'll still find time for modded Medieval 2 Total War just because I enjoy the RTS battles but the actual campaign isn't really "grand strategy" either.
I think Johan actually did it. This is his Magnum Opus and he's forgiven for everything he did or didn't do over the past decade. He has fully and completely redeemed himself with this masterpiece of a game. I am overcome by joy and I can't wait to wake up again tomorrow so I can keep playing before I have to go wage slave.
10/10 game. Seriously. Best I've ever played. If you want to knock off points for the roughness around the edges or the imperfections then go ahead but just realize this game will (God willing) receive 10 years of expansions and flavor DLC. This is the most bare bones, and the worst it will ever be and I'm already giving it a 10.

But that's not the most retarded shit. Vassal swarm is the only viable option early game and there is an event that can fire up until 1387 that you need to own Rostov directly for. It creates a work of art

They show you how many unique events each country has in game to cause the "WOW" factor but as Im looking through them a lot of them are extremely easy to miss.
Those dynamic events are just shit. If you defeat certain countries you skip a lot of them. I restarted many times to optimize my start and I had games where Golden Horde was very unstable, I managed to defeat them and once it was so unstable that the AI broke off the Tatar Yoke. Mission trees were a lot better. You knew what to expect, what to build up towards. Now you can lose a lot of content if you dont read through a fucking .txt file. For example, there is an event regarding Dmitriy Shemyaka which fires only if your ruler is below 20 yr old in a specific timeframe. In eu4 it was scripted so that it always happened. Now you would most likely just ommit that event in its entirety

I like how Dandylion puts characters in the background of the CGs even if they don't have dialogue or anything for the cutscene. You can see Jane next to Giselle and on the right side in the background there's what looks like Visha(?) maybe in the one you posted. In one of Leton's flashback CGs there's what looks like Jane with short hair and Visha as well when he's getting treatment from Lily. And in another one of Bianca's flashbacks there's that one young guy in the Valhalla council sitting at a table near her. The shooter street merchants can be seen in the mungo king CG, and in the one with Irene playing basketball Camilla is walking by, seemingly upset that Sion is talking to another girl (Misty). A couple of other minor characters show up in the background of multiple CGs as well like Kim and some of the unnamed troubleshooter test takers.

Got a pretty good England run going. About to put France into bankruptcy then go enforce a PU on Portugal before coming back to go on the offensive with France and enforce a PU on them as well.
