To be honest, the team has struggled since release. The team has had general issues with motivation, an issue that was apparent before release but that has only been exacerbated since. By now, new development of content has halted almost entirely. I myself have been doing the bulk of maintenance work, but being only one person, it takes a toll on you.

A good team would recruit ad nauseum, never stopping, always expanding, replacing burned out/disloyal/members who refuse to work on assigned projects with new recruits who are trained by more active, experienced devs. But mods seem (1) to get into a complacent funk, and (2) none of them seem well-managed/led, given that so few of them can produce worthwhile updates. The big mods with 500k+ subscribers don't have a recruitment problem.

You want to make it a mockumentary. Bring on people like Burt, Fehlinger and so on. Have them talk about the events of the ACW and the Euro Wars. Keep it a bit ambiguous so as to not create an official canon, but overall go with that model. I'd then use my actual budget for extras to act out combat scenes while looking like the real deal, with the commentary by the real people filling in all the narrative.

This is better than literally anything you could ever make with real actors and you can't convince me otherwise, especially since most of these people have proven themselves to be perfectly happy to be put in front of a camera for free to get their message out. Furthermore, by not making anything a canon, you can bring on people from all sides to speak about their heroics, while not shitting on them. Bonus: you can create one film per EW timeline, with a unique ACW perspective.

Chiropterra is one of the most unique countries I've seen in a HOI4 mod. The concept of waiting for vengeance (and usually being denied it and having to resort to local ambitions) is fun and unique for a HOI4 tag. Any other tag that's similar to this? Doesn't have to be EAW.

I wish TFR wars had higher kill counts, usually they're either low on both sides or it's one curb stomping the other when it comes to kills. The only war I can recall the ends with an insane death count is the Catharsis war, but that is an example of a curb stomp (but given the context it makes sense).

They've been releasing hotfixes that have fixed some issues, but I think the new paths in the update are still inaccessible without using the console and even if you do access them they're pretty buggy. Hopefully they make good on their word and this doesn't happen again.

For me it was when they made Hungary a puppet, I get the historical context but that is so massively unwieldy and unesthetic. I like authenticity but alternate history can happen whilst still being authentic - France could conceivably have a military coup to restore the Bonapartists but they would not larp as the actual Napoleon and fight Britain, similarly a proto-Fascist Black Hundred Russia could conceivably fight for the Central Powers or the Entente. Another thing I want to ask about, 1st time playing one of these modern mods when you have a shitload of equipment you have to make, I usually just spam 32 width infantry division and win but since this might be different and tanks might be worth it, are these divisions good enough for this proletarian crusade?

The Catharsis divisions being weak makes sense, but I hope in the future they tweak the war to where they grow stronger and stronger the more VPs they take while you get weaker and weaker from debuffs and shit.
