The mechanics in the current server look pretty fun, there's a lot to engage with, time trial things, stocks, jobs, farming, mobs, botan can host events... its really well done.

There's a fundamental problem with EN: they are completely unable to RP properly and create fun scenarios on their own.
No matter what kind of event it is (they dont host anything themselve), staff is forced to create scenarios and stories for them in ENreco, but even then, everything just turns into lesbian baiting...

What sets events like HoloGTA apart from something like EnReco is the level of player agency. In HoloGTA, the game provides a wide range of tools and opportunities for players to interact with each other and shape their own narrative. In contrast, EnReco’s gameplay and lore are far too restrictive. With no PvP and very limited ways to engage with the world or other players, the experience quickly became stagnant.

Its not that they're good at RPing. They just don't take it a seriously and if you actually watched the JP ones, they don't take it as seriously either. The difference is that the interaction pool for JP is so much larger than the EN one. They can craft more scenarios and if EN joins, they're the ones who control the narrative by the sheer fact that they outnumber EN. And anyone who dismisses the first Enreco is delusional. It didn't have forced lore, the interaction was natural, and there was just a general feel that it was friends hanging around. I never watched Enreco 2, so I can't speak for it , but there is this general trend at overglazing the JP side by people who I'm sure were only exposed to selected clips from JP.
