How well are any of these concerts even selling? The only one I ever see actual numbers for is the Nimi/Doob one because some schizo keeps spamming it thinking that selling out 95% of a venue is supposed to be bad.

The truth is it's hard as fuck to sell big vtuber concerts in the EN world though, only Hololive does it on the scale they do so far. CtW and BD were extremely unusual and difficult feats, not something large indies are doing yet, even with all these con concerts (which are a step in the right direction though)

3d concerts at venues are tricky business in america. you have to run it adjacent to an anime convention if you have hope to sell even 1/3 of the tickets. you're starting to see it this year how people are jamming them all around anime expo and offkai, but the more there are the less special they will be. next year will be a disaster because there will be 2 dozens concerts all overlapping each other
look at the ax weekend for example do we really need 3 concerts with nimi, dooby, doki, and mint split up? why not run 1 good concert with the 4 of them? trim all the fat attached with those concerts

The age of en vtuber is over.

Unrelated to the holo v indie war stuff. Everything being in California and falling within the same month/weekend is pretty ass. I hope after using this year to test the waters some of these companies will look into holding events in other locations (attached to major conventions) next year. I do think its cool that oshispark is doing a livestream for virtual vacation though; that's definitely a step up for the indie scene.
