I would never go o OffKai, but here is the thing. I would also never go to an anime con, and I would never blow a thousand dollars on it or more. Not when I can go to Comiket for about the same and have a much better and more real experience. Anime cons were always support groups for coping tertiary and secondary fans, as well as a lot of non-fans. Yaoi padels are a purely American invention in anime cons, same with bouncy castles and ball pits.
If I was ever a fan of something Asian I would never trust it to a western hosted convention run by weaboos. So, where am I going with all of this? The people that attend OffKai are the same kind of people and the same kind of vtubers that attend those anime cons. By attending people are admitting that they're permanently stuck in the sweaty anus of the industry.
