Something about the person behind it not being the same maybe, or they've been "sullied" or something similar, but I can't ever be happy when I see a vtuber reincarnating. Hate is an extreme thing to say but I'm also not comfortable with it. Even though I understand objectively that leaving your job for a better opportunity is a normal thing that people in all kinds of fields do so vtubers shouldn't be an exception, as a consumer of the final product which is the stream or other content, I don't appreciate the change. A vtuber isn't just the person behind the model, it's the whole ensemble from the person to the model to the environment and even the restrictions they work within which shape their behavior. Since it depends heavily on how they behave after the fact it depends on the vtuber in question, reincarnating isn't the factor that matters. It's how they behave due to it.
You get ones who are bitter they got fired or aren't as popular as they were before they reincarnated and seethe about it behind the scenes. They tend to have less fun streams due to it.
