Why is that a reason not to? Parasocialfags are dumb. You're not dating her. She's an entertainer and you're a fan. Nobody gripes when people pay a band either to buy an album or as thanks for stuff they put up for free, and that doesn't change whether they're making more than you or less than you. Though many entertainers of all types will tell you not to spend money you can't afford on them.
Same deal when you pay a vtuber, you're either buying paid content or sending a thank-you for free content.

The first mistake would be seeing streaming as a job. 99.9% of streamers will NEVER make more than minimum wage. For every 3view that can make a living off streaming, there are thousands of 1 and 2 views that just do it for fun. If you can end up making a living from streaming that's great, but that shouldn't be the primary motivation for streaming. Not to mention people can tell when your heart isn't in it, if you see it as a job and you're not genuinely having fun people won't want to watch you to begin with, so it's a self defeating goal.
