It's perfectly clear that all her "excuses" of why she couldn't do things while Gura were just lies and that she is just a lazy ass person who will do the bare minimum to get people to throw money her way.

I guarantee she's going to be a reaction streamer as Saba and that's about it. The excuses of the fame being too much for her, the stress of being popular getting to her, they're all BS. She literally went "How can I still be Gura without being under Holo?" with the model and theming makes it perfectly clear that everything she said was just lies. She WANTS people to find her and pay her, she just doesn't want Cover to get their cut.

Maybe she wants to sing karaoke songs and make dirty jokes that wouldn't be allowed under Cover? Or maybe she wants to limit her audience to vtuber fans, and doesn't want to go out of her way to advertise herself to people who wouldn't otherwise watch vtubers (like baseball fans or aquarium visitors)
It could also be a perms thing. She stopped streaming GTA after they officially lost the GTA Radio streaming rights and were prohibited from playing the car radio while streaming the game; and I'm pretty sure she'd like to stream Muse Dash again, which she wouldn't be able to do while in Cover because the publisher is based in mainland China.

Cover bootlickers need Sameko Saba to fail since it will look bad for Hololive if they lost Gura because she was specifically angry with her employer. If Saba is successful after going indie than the EN branch lost a talent with 4.7 million subscribers because of management incompetence.
