Just for the girls, they'd need a dedicated editor for every single talent whose sole job is to edit down VODs into watchable numbers. Plus, if they did that, with, what, 60-something different editors, the quality would be all over the place.

That's good material for new fans though, helps people delude themselves that they'll watch JP streams and then give up and watch EN. It would go a long way to resetting the fanbase closer to what they want.

I think they rely heavily on fan clippers to give a more bitesize experience to newcomers or casual viewers, and because of that they probably don't care too much about doing highlight videos or the like.

Watame still does this and Koyori kinda. It would have to be some japanese hire and the company doesn't want to spend money on it. Can't hire some russian to do cheap labor in a japanese company.
