If so, it is likely due to the retards changing stuff to do with usernames recently.
Whether it was intended or a bug nobody knows for sure, it seems it was intended but it IS Youtube none of their programmers know a fucking thing about programming, they probably literally use Googles own AI to manage the shithole of a site.

Yes, that. My guess was some karens complained it was difficult to select the username but I also noticed in another chat (where I'm not a mod) recently everyones name was preceeded by @ in the whole chat so it them fucking with usernames seems likely. Channel Activity - shows a past history of their chats organized by stream
Go to Channel - direct link to their yt channel (useful for looking for leeches)
Report - yt community guidelines like using the hard R (usually I use it for bots)
Remove - just deletes that comment (useful for regulars who get a little stupid and just keeping certain dumb shit from reaching the talent without punishing)
Put user in timeout - increments from 1 minute to 24 hours it removes all of their comments and doesn't allow them to chat for the duration. 5 min is typical.
Hide user on this channel - permaban until lifted/reversed

the timeout can be changed down to a minute or up after initially using it's the best way to just remove a bunch of stuff quickly and gives time to hide, but hide does the same thing it's just considered pretty severe so you have to really deserve it (at least in our guidelines).

Google quite literally got rid of their rigorous hiring processes to catch more retards out of college because most of their good talent left the company outside of a few key areas - cloud and partially AI. (they a lot of their AI devs, including the one that co-birthed modern AI and made Character AI but then got bought by Google lul)
