not really, we dont even have to move to socialism just adapt correct society, its going to happen at some point its just a matter of how controlled it is and how messy the end result it. Like you can take aspects of socialism and say provide free housing and base needs like food and water, but keep the aspects of capitalism in some form with a currency just change how said currency is earned. those who want more will have to under the new system earn that money still creating healthy competition while the housing and food plans set a baseline for standard of living that should be upheld by all future leaders so long as the nation doesn't fall.
