It is honestly crazy to see that VShojo and VShojoJP are 2 complete entities. In Hololive, there is virtually no difference between HoloJP and HoloEN aside from geo-demographic. But in VShojo, the EN side is Wild West with nepohires at random times and no set goal other than streaming for the people, whereas the JP side is organized with wave debuts and actually has a goal in mind which is music by signing up UMG (like this deal is for Nova specifically and not the whole company)

I don't know how this massive separation will benefit them, but I guess only time will tell

The guy running JP sat down with kson for an interview and he said that they originally wanted to promote "talent freedom" in JP but came to the conclusion that it doesn't work in JP. The market and people are too structured and you need to be "one of them" to get things done.
Most chuubas in JP don't want to be in groups that run wild and let them do whatever, they want direction and management that tell them what they should do, plan out their collabs way in advance, maybe minus the game permission shit. Even JP indies work that way unlike EN vtubers who decide to collab midway through their streams.
The JP guy is also a hardcore idol nerd, so he's into these shit and have the connections.
