Never understood this argument. Arguably Mumei is one of the people who understood kayfabe the most because she does not perceive herself and the vtuber interchangeably.
For example someone who hates kayfabe would be like The Rock who goes on a press conference right after the show ended to immediately spoil the behind the scenes workings and ruin any impression that the storylines are real.
/vt/ has tried to redefine kayfabe for their own reasons when it already has a definition and it's not "if I don't like them they're breaking kayfabe".
