>>102070477lol no. the Nazis only brought 2 things to the space race:
1. They took rocketry seriously. Before the wonder weapons program rocketry was seen as a niche hobby for children and autists, even in the face of practical applications like rocket mail and congreve-type artillery. Nothing the Nazis developed was unknown to the rest of the world-- the engineering, the science, nothing was new-- they just treated it with respect. As an aside, this is why JPL is Jet Propulsion Laboratories instead of Rocket Propulsion Laboratories. Jets were the future. Rockets were science fiction.
2. Manufacturing experience. The only thing more important than inventing a thing is mass producing it. Unfortunately von Braun and his ilk were absolute shit at production. They were only able to brute force their way through it with slave labor. Their standards and quality control were a joke and almost nothing they did was of any use to the west except as a cautionary exercise, which is useful in its own way but not nearly as much as an unqualified success.
