I take my oshi on fist dates all the time, its what we call a planned beating. I make sure to leave her with plenty of love bumps. As for taking her on a FIRST date, I would go out for sushi and build-a-bear workshop.

Build-a-bear, its a store where people bring their children. Inside, the child picks an empty plushie of their liking (they have many different animals), an employee helps them fill it with stuffing and pick out a little fabric heart to put inside. You can also put in a heart with a recording so when you squeeze the plushie it will play a sound. After its sewn up, the child then can pick from a large selection of clothes and accessories for their plushie and fill out a fake adoption certificate. I enjoyed this store greatly as a child and I'm confident my oshi would also enjoy it as shes very childish. It is a widespread chain that has been in business for a few decades now in America.

Ive never ran into that sentiment, I think getting to make the bear to your preferences makes it special. I guess it doesnt appeal to everyone. Part of the process of building the bear is the attendant hands you the bear and you have to hug it and warm it up to fill it with love and bring it to life or whatever if I remember correctly, so that might help with the perception of sentience.

Fist date, pound town aka my bedroom. If it weren't for women like my oshi tending to have breakable beds I'd say going elbow deep within the borderline at her place surrounded by her plushies and the scent of her on everything would be ideal
