The 7 month "health" break (contract negotiations), the new YouTube channel being made 2 months after that break, and her graduation. Shion told viewers she was considering graduation for many years and that leaving Hololive was needed for her own happiness. That she went on a 7 month health break before making the decision to graduate sure feels similar to those mysterious health breaks with Ina and Gura in late 2022. Cover management isn't comically evil misogynists but the Ayame visual update, the Kaela redesign, and the recent wave of 7 graduations indicates there are numerous contract disputes going on behind the scenes. Shion had the worst pedobait design in Hololive while Kurageu Roa is returning with a cute modest design. That her indie design is so different from Shion doesn't feel like a coincidence. Roa made a choice to move away from the sleazy coombait and she will lose some of her fans which means this change was necessary for her to stay a vtuber.

They are taking a huge revenue cut when they leave Hololive to be indie vtubers and it makes sense they want to boost revenue in their last several months. Without the marketing from a corporation they do know their viewer numbers will go down and those 600+ Cover employees aren't completely wasted on HoloEarth.

Shion's only outfit she has had an issue with was her pink maid one. Also note that her original outfit creator stopped affiliating with Cover likely during the artist issue (though it could be an entirely different issue, too).

Aqua and Chloe leaving already gave us the impression she was going to go too. I think it's the growing corpo environment was too much for all the girls that left. Imagine leaving the biggest company in the industry because her unhappiness was due to her outfit.
Her twitter likes and artists she follows doesn't indicate coomer shit is beyond her
