So Anon, it's your first day as CEO of Twitch, the big man, the head honcho.
We got the whole team together.
What's our first meeting going to be about?
Remove whatever the fuck makes Twitch run like shit in browsers and have one consistent set of rules that is enforced the same across the board
>>102372173 (OP)First job is removing whores and kitty streamers, then any fag shit and perma bans for anyone with the lqbtq++123 tag
Ban Hamas Piker and his orbiters
>>102372173 (OP)force av1 on all streams, change twitchcon to a biennial event, integrate amazon music with the platform.
>>102372173 (OP)negotiate a pay raise for myself
ban prominent streamers i don't like with confusingly worded statements to create maximum drama
>>102372173 (OP)Remove the clause from ToS that says you're not allowed to complain about certain streamers getting special privileges in exchange for sexual favors
>>102372173 (OP)Do I have to maximize profits or can I make the world a better place?
>>102372173 (OP)Rewrite the entire site in C and compile to WASM. Then implement a shadowban system that creates tech issues for streamers I don't like.
Create a vod library for channels so twitch users don't flood YouTube (your competiton) with that content. Then stop trying to shove ads down everyone's throat. Let a simple ad blocker remove them and look the other way.
ALRIGHT
first things first is getting rid of these vtubers - all of them. every single last one needs to be fucking murdered
the rest of the shit we need to address can be addressed in later meetings, but vtubers SPECIFICALLY have to go first
Fire all the people on the left side of the table
That probably takes care of 80% of the problems right there.
>>102373610How is that different from what they do now?
>>102372173 (OP)idk, fire the islamist terrorists first i guess.
>>102372173 (OP)1. Have available staff monitoring the top streams for tag violations
2. Remove "Just Chatting" and any related categories
3. Make the ad placement/frequency/interactions make sense. Remove ads for smaller channels
>>102376225I don't think removing ads for smaller channels would be the best idea.
But having different kinds of ads would certainly go a lot further.
A simple small banner strip ad and square banner ad that appears on the top half of the chat occasionally would be at least acceptable for smaller channels.
Smaller channels growing would be an ideal as it brings in more people to potentially member.
But video ads interrupting them is just an overall bad experience, they need all the help they can get to grow larger.
>>102372173 (OP)Selling it to Youtube to scrap for parts.
>Investigate the moderation team and the reasons why they have been biased to shit.
>Upon inevitable conclusion, replace them wholesale with a moderation team and leadership that will enforce the TOS of the site evenly.
>Likely need similar investigations into many other departments.
>Increase data harvesting of users to increase the accuracy of targeted ads and thus increase the revenue the site can bring in.
>Lower barrier to entry for people wishing to advertise on Twitch. The current system is insanely restrictive. This can help ease the lulls in advertising spending during off-seasons.
>Actually fucking leverage Amazon to serve streamer branded merchandise (Begin with screen-printed items like mugs/tshirts. Expand to other products where possible) that can be purchased through the twitch interface similar to how you can purchase bits/subs. The initial offering of screen-printed items should have low enough overhead to allow decently low-ccv streamers to get into this program. Their volume may be significant.
>Assuming merch program is decently successful, allow for the creation of more and more bespoke merchandise for streamers. Tie it to even higher tiers of the partner plus program with different goals needed to reach it.
>Tighter integration with Amazon should increase Twitch's value enough to calm the beast and give breathing room.
>Make it easier for game-devs to interface with the bits interface on the site. Easier access, easier testing, better documentation, and increased support.
>Use community management employees at twitch to create a dev community that can support each other through this.
>Don't target diversity for any of this. Target those that are friendly, competent, and preferably accomplished. That is the best way forward for such a program to work.
>Monitor chat for RELATIVE activity. Experiment with serving ads during high/med/low activity and monitor effects. How does it affect sentiment/viewership/subscriptions/turbo purchases. Dogfood it as well. Adjust ad delivery and price accordingly.
>See if it's possible to gather user interests based on what they talk about in streamer chats. again, this is for targeted ads that can be of higher value to advertisers. Likely needs to leverage AI to do so. Even if not needed, attempt to do so anyway to allow increased investment into the site. Financial breathing room is desperately needed.
>Assuming scalability of the tech, see if one can determine the best moments to deliver the ad based on the content that's currently being streamed. Avoid interrupting big moments with ads. Monitoring chat may be the only thing needed to effectively do this anyway. But investors cum money whenever AI is mentioned, and especially in relation to advertising. More breathing room for the site.
>minimize ads, run an ad blitz that we're the good guys who DGAF about adblock
>enforce rules on misuse of tags
>forcibly segregate vtubers and flesh community
sell a subscription service to streamers offering unlimited vod storage
>>102372198i have to use twitchtheater.tv to watch streams because twitch lags the shit out of my browser after a few minutes.
>>102372173 (OP)ban anything that doesnt focus on a game screen
>>102382650Fire all the mods and safety team, ban all fleshtubers, and make the site exclusively vtuber related
Threaten to report Ironlung’s family to ICE if she steps out of line
Offer Kim Jong Un a fat contract to stream nuclear tests
>>102372173 (OP)A blanket ban on anything that isn't a reasonably work-safe stream where a host narrates or provides commentary over some other work, provides some sort of educational content or performs drama or music.
I think the most egregious problem on Twitch is honestly just how much of the website is basically just slop designed to funnel viewers to OnlyFans. Even with the much more aggressive advertising on Twitch in the last couple of years, I think streams that advertise a streamer's OnlyFans account just don't really have much of a place on a site that is ostensibly supposed to be a website that is about chatting with people while video games are played.
>>102382650>>102382708Getting rid of all political pundit-style streams would immediately improve the website, yeah.
