SEAs are actually worse when it comes to schizophrenia rates, its just that their culture commonly contextualizes the symptoms in a positive manner. A lot of SEA people GENUINELY believe that ghosts are real, because either they, or people they know, have "talked to the spirits" in a helpful, or at least neutral way.
Contrast with whites, where the people with schizophrenia contextualize it as delusions of power, or being taken advantage of. And considering these people are often disadvantaged in other ways, it's not hard to see how that can influence their thoughts.
