Damn, Grifters and Normies really took one of my favorite pastimes and started burning everything I enjoyed about it to the ground. Anime and Japan becoming popular was a mistake…
>>102499055 (OP) It's crazy how much they come in and try to destroy the cultural foundation as well as values, you know? A part of me thinks this hobby might morph into just boring streamer Twitch bullshit in the next year or so. There's a lack of respect for the fundamentals and it's obvious.
Good for Nimi but the wrong lessons will be taken and it'll be trendy for everyone to show off their SO on stream pushing away the original core audience

>>102499055 (OP) >A part of me thinks this hobby might morph into just boring streamer Twitch bullshit in the next year or so. It's already 70% of the way there. The last holdouts will cave in a year or two.
>>102500474 Not OP but I don't disagree with you, anon. We've been getting there slowly and slowly. I'll probably dip the moment Hololive loses its competitive edge because everyone outside the garden is what I dislike about Twitch and streamers in general.
These cultural shifts have been more negative for the general hardcores than positive.
The moment I first saw an egirl larping as KizunaAI, a "real anime girl" back in 2018 I figured people would wise up and it wouldn't go too far. Now in le current year, I get to see excess weebs cry about how "their" community is being tarnished and ruined. This is justice.
