Get ready, the shockwaves sent from the implosion of VShojo will affect the entire vtubing industry.

This event will undoubtedly scare investors who own shares in big companies (Hololive, Nijisanji), because their corporation could also go bankrupt and be ruined due to a single yab. It's become more visible than ever how much of an unstable investment vtubing corporations are, since your sources of income can just all leave at once and fuck you.

TOTAL INDIE VICTORY.

This is like the fall of Machinima but for vtubing.
Corporations will become less and less relevant as time goes on, they're already very much not trusted by the public.

It's hilarious that doing 30 mins of research and AI brainstorming would let VCs know this immediately since around 2021, and yet they can't help going full retard with money.

Its funny people say this, while even massive Indies constantly say doing big events and getting many companies to take you seriously as an Indie is super difficult, with many Indies at every level regularly looking for some form of corpo or pseudo corpo support.

clearly, they still play a role, if only because for some reason alot of support/adjacent industries to vtubing apparently still dont trust indies. maybe said industries will slowly be replaced or change their tune though, but so far doesnt sound like it too much.

It won't.
JP branch will most likely be rebranded and eventually bought out by Brave Group and apply new rules to it.

Niji survived the Selen yab and is now in a much higher position right now. Holo had multiple yabs and yet income continued to follow on an increasing trend. You literally cannot fake this shit because they have public financial records. If you go to the investors and say Anycolor and Cover will go bankrupt, they will call you a massive retard. Both companies made almost half of 100 billion yen, VShojo probably couldn't even make 7 figures in a year

The Selen yab completely ruined the NIjiEN branch, Hololive stocks have been down 12% this year. If their talents decide to do a group leave like it happened in vshojo, it would be a complete implosion and it's completely possible depending on what yab happens.

Investors don't operate with risks, the risk has grown considerably after the fall of vshojo.

Yeah, no. I saw Vshojo's collapse from a mile away. Maybe I'm just more detached from the western vtuber sphere and don't understand the significance of it but I don't get how this is so surprising. It's a new low but it's not really on the scale of "affecting the entire vtubing industry"
The only shocking thing is how no one spoke up about it for so long and the fact that 500k(?) is just gone
