In this context is he's using more like a "fake pimp" or a womanizer, i.e a dude has a girlfriend(s) and mooches money off of them

I wouldn't call Rick James "Disco" he's more like Funk, he somewhat vulgar for his time imo he basically a progenitor of rap music
