Unicorns, answer me this. With so many of you being of the opinion that most modern women suck (I agree btw), why would one hiding behind an anime avatar make you feel any different about her? Other than the avatar they're still just an e-girl streamer. Yes the rigging and expressions are cute but you and I coped with anime and vidya and VNs for years. I wasn't into vtubers pre-2020 but if there was some sort of unspoken understanding between the vtuber and viewers that she would play your girlfriend/emotional prostitute and you would reap the benefits of that back then, well as far as Hololive goes it disappeared pretty early on in EN. And killed outright by a few of the girls during the Tempus era. It just seems like such a niche thing you're looking for and most vtubers, especially not corporate ones, are not in it to provide that sort of service. So not only is it a hobby filled with a bunch of covert thots, you're trying to chase a dragon that's so elusive and fickle you're bound to be disappointed every time.

And I especially have to ask saplings: why did you stick with her after the whole "We can't be friends" thing? I mean I can't see any other explanation than you're just stupid or delusional. She made it very clear she's not into the kayfabe and GFE. Please, please find another form of escapism for your own sanity and health.

The talent says things like I'm so happy you're here or you guys made me really really happy when I saw that and it gets morphed basically into 'I love you!'. Theb they bury themselves in this mentality and look for every which way that they can misconstrue genuine appreciation for direct affection. They're lonely losers wgo likely have very few if any friends or family to talk to, have nothing going on in their life they're excited about, and this little shred of fake girlfriend ends up driving them to live.
Now we get to the point where someone wgo was once in the golden sheep company that attracts the greatest amounts of these people come out and say she's getting married. It doesn't matter to them if they had any interest in her at all before, but just doing that makes them realize that she, along with other girls in the company, could easily be hinding something. They shit on her for 'Not keeping kayfabe' or her character, but in reality they do it because they're afraid she might convince their person of affection might do the same or might be just like she was. Nimi can chatter the illusion and stop playing the game if she wants, but they don't want her to because it messes with their preceived reality. It's really funny to watch some of these people have stupid mental breakdowns over a talent they supposidly don't care about at all.

And that shouldn't be an issue if they continue to play the character, even if they're dating or married on the back end. Again, it shook the faith some of the most retarded had in their favorite's ability to stick to the role if they have other options. It casts doubts into the minds of these retards about what actually goes on behind the scenes instead of being blissfully aware. I think there's still plenty of people who will continue just the way they were, but watching quite a few of them start cracking on their faith in their girl because some indie who was a girl from the golden sheep company said 'Nah, I wanna do it this way and was 100% doing those things for the company because that's what they wanted'.
