This is genuinely not bait or a shitpost. Please for your own good, specifically your mental health, stop watching and getting attached to VTubers. The Nimi situation is a great wakeup call probably the millionth in this scene (remember Rushia folks?) to people who still don't realize how things work. VTubers are real women who have real lives, real modern womanly feelings, attitudes and do very womanly things. They just happen to have anime avatars because they find Vtubing to be something entertaining for them or just as a grift, and in practically all these scenarios the VTuber views it as a side job to their real life where YOU, unicorn, yes YOU are the disposable sink who will endlessly give them cash because you think they're in a relationship with you. This couldn't be further from the truth! These vtubers, again, have real lives they participate in which almost always involves, due to the nature of todays woman, hook ups, sexual relationships and at times marriage in the case of Nimi. They're not anime girls despite the avatar and sweet voice that lures in unicorns
The difference between vtubers and anime girls are simple. Anime girls are
>An idealized version of a woman that no longer exist today
>Available for a person to get attached to them a bit more safely than Vtubers
>Characters
And Vtubers aren't characters. They're the women of today and sometimes they're openly trying to lure in unicorns to get attached and use them as eternal money sinks and will happily cut you off if they feel you've outlived your usefulness or became too annoying. Others will simply not care about unicorn validation and speak about IRL relations as they see fit. As we know given the endless suicide contemplation posts after Nimi's bf/marriage reveal, such a sudden reveal after parasocial attachment is dangerous.
If you want to prevent getting attached to Vtubers and suffering potentially life-ending suffering when you realize they have real lives, please stop watching them, you never know when that reveal may come out. Thank you for reading my TED Talk, Reddit.
