>20+ vtubers, staff, and affiliates of varying degrees for Vshojo all were not being paid for multiple months - and no one said a thing
>10+ potential vtuber applicants for the new Vshojo waves all were magically aware of something seeming wrong in the process - and no one said a thing
>Everyone instantly jumps ship - and then pays thousands of dollars straight to Mouse's charity fund

Something is definitely going on behind the scenes

It's kinda fucky yeah, especially given how usually, you'd expect different people to have contracts that terminate at different times, literally tying them down by law.
These bitches just...all left all at once, and there's going to be zero repercussion because the contracts just happened to all end at once?
Not a single one of them actually talked about their contract terms, nevermind the contract itself.
Don't get me wrong if you're not getting paid then you're not getting paid, but...weird.

Yes but at a bare minimum you'd expect legal consultation with lawyers to figure out what you can and can't do to take
you know
TIME
and different actors having different timelines as a result of this
especially given that they have talents residing in different countries with different laws
and they just fucking pulled that shit like it's synchronized swimming
mind you, this is in an industry where the talents are regularly known for fucking up even the most minor collab requests
something is fucky, and I don't like it

I don't think I've argued that vshojo talents shouldn't be paid.
What I maintain is that for every single talent to do this in coordination, when usually graduation trains have a queue and multiple stops, is highly unnatural.
It's like seeing epstein dead on the floor and seeing the official explanation being suicide, then finding two bullet holes to the back of the head. Highly unnatural.

You can follow suit, but to go to graduation IMMEDIATELY?
Of course the talents from the company that's not paying them is going to side with the talent exposing the company, but every talent literally took the same path of immediately terminating all relationships with vshojo, as opposed to staying radio silent until they figure out whether they're still on the hook from the contracts they signed.
It's so fucking weird.

yes, and that's exactly what happened during nijipocalypse
but the talents signed with niji formed queues, with the graduations spread out exactly according to when their contract ends
Hololive? Same thing, gooba had to wait for YEARS before she could move on
These women, who signed with the company at different times, just had zero inhibition and left, with ZERO mind to the contracts they signed.
What gives?

I find the radio silence really odd.
No one was even disgruntled or hinting at issues in the company. There were no cryptic tweets or weird social message messages. No weird leaks via schizos on /vt/. Even holos started firing up their roommate accounts, or took "breaks" which hinted that something was up.
These people own their IP too, they can't be suspended. Why was everyone putting on a song and dance acting like the company was great up until this week?
You would think missing $100k USD would make someone act out a little bit. Not to mention some of the talents didn't even realize they were missing 5-6 figure sums of pay? How ignorant of your finances are you?
Are they all just retarded? What gives?

They are retarded, but they got to keep their sub money, which is likely more than enough for living expenses, so they probably weren't too worried, but eventually you want to know what the problem is.
That's likely why it went on so long, they weren't all broke in the streets, just kinda wondering when the Vshojo Bux were coming in.
Then Mouse threw the shit at the wind turbine

Fair enough. I don't see any malicious angle here on the talents' part. It just seemed really fucking weird watching a bunch of grown adults jump ship claiming they hadn't been paid in close to year and some of these grown adults speaking about how they only just learned they were missing massive amounts of money. Must be a nice life to live.

Anon Vshojo is not a typical corpo in the same vein as Holo or Niji, they own no rights and aren't involved in production, we can abstract from this that their contracts likely don't follow the same rules so comparing them is pointless. It'd be like saying Tom Cruise left his contract with Rosenberg Talent Agency but RDJ wasn't allowed to so easily break his contract with Marvel so what's going on, hmm? What's going on is they're entirely different entities.

honestly non-zero
like think about it
the charity had fundraisers before ironmouse, sure
but the amount of money that ironmouse brought in was insane
it's at the scale where if she (or other people) asked for kickbacks (to use it for money laundering) it really wouldn't be too much of an ask (just say that to honor her contributions they made her a permanent member of the charity, etc)
what I don't get is what money they would even need to launder
like their incomes are all above-table transactions, is it just tax evasion?

How does VShojo owe them anything anyway? I got the impression they were basically a talent agency like Mythic with how hands-off they claim to be. It's a business model that never made sense to me and I find it even stupider that Ironmouse would use them as a proxy for a charity rather than just giving her chat a link and say
>just donate here if you want to support medical research

This situation is really weird but in Mint's case I get her frustration and need to vent about it. It's not about the money, she was led on to work on a project that would help her follow her idol dream and after a year+? of working and waiting on it it started to become clear that it wasn't happening anymore. And everything she did behind the scenes will likely never be seen.

VShojo owes them for sponsorships and merch sales. Which is probably a lot less than the stream revenue which is why they could get away with not paying for so long, nobody was starving.

Ironlung wanted to farm the charity angle for subscribers by tying subs to donations. It earned her the all-time twitch subs record. A simple donation link wouldn't get her that. And uniquely she had her revenue going through the company for opsec reasons
