Beyond the embezzlement and literal Niji-level worker abuse that was unveiled, the one thing I'm still stunlocked by is how the entire corp literally functioned like a pyramid scheme. Only "revenue" they generated was by poach-spamming huge vtubers. All "investment" goes into PR propaganda and lies to trick even more people into joining.

People found out how much those "talent freedom" ads in Shibuya cost them and it was fucking expensive as fuck.
They warped half the western vtubing community around their utopian magic bean model that was meant to make "normal, functioning" corps look evil for being normal and functioning, and everyone gobbled it up.
Nobody fucking understood how they could possibly generate a profit, but like the concept of the 'Big Lie', the sheer AUDACITY of running such a huge scam was so enourmous that people simply couldn't imagine someone actually doing that.

And then it's just "oh yeah we actually made no profits, and all our money (ELEVEN MILLION DOLLARS) was blown up on shilling ourselves. oops, sorry."

I wonder just how many smallcorpos died trying to emulate Vshojo's completely unsustainable model, I remember idol also bragging about their "lower than the industry standard" cut and spending shitloads of money on PR

Would not be surprised that some if Vshojo chuubas are involved in the scheme and now are trying to bury it by blaming it in Vshojo.

Low quantity, custom merchandise can be a nightmare for real businesses. No surprise, a startup fails at real life shit
