Anyone who wants to make the UI look decent again, I would recommend Project Vorapis, it's basically a script for the grease monkey / violent monkey extension that brings the Old YouTube layout back as well as a bunch of other customization options.

if you're on firefox (which you should be to use ublock origin) id recommend "youtube tweaks" by pedro. It gives you more or less complete control over the layout and color themes as well as options to change how many videos appear in columns/rows, completely disregard certain categories (like shorts), force full titles instead of abbreviated ones, fix scaling errors, etc.
