1) higher view counts gets you more attention from sponsors, or even high payouts
2) higher view counts get you better chances to land on the recommended/trending page. (Not a VTuber, but I get about 70-80 percent of video accesses from the front page, so it has to be important to land on the front page of as many users as possible)
3) other streamers also think your high CCV is great exposure to them, so it makes you more attractive.

The whole thing is about getting artificial prestige, actual viewers mean shit. Even if your revenue is donation focused, you don't need many viewers, you just need a good amount of whales.
