Could the scandal that Ironmouse and VShojo were involved in have been avoided if they hadn't kept half of the charity money and had instead donated it all with no strings attached?

Not really? Unless you don't mean just the charity money and also mean the owed money. The 500k for charity was the tipping point but others were already on their way out because they weren't getting paid.

If you're asking if VShojo wasnever in debt and was always able to pay what it owed would it have collapsed the answer is definitely not. Every single member has talked at length about how much they loved the talent managers and how good they were to work with. If VShojo didn't have money problems there wouldn't have been any problems to begin with except for Mowtendoo, who is still a creep

Yeah, they also talked about how great VShojo was until it wasn’t.

Yes anon that's how reality works. If something is good but you find out new information that changes your outlook it's normal to change your opinion on the matter

No because they literally could not afford to keep the lights on. They should've folded months prior.

You're wording your post as if Ironmouse was complicit in the scandal. Nice try, but no.

Nope,Vshojo was never profitable, theyre only able to last this long because of the 20M investment from shady companies

VShojo didn't keep "half" the charity money - they kept all of it. Half of the SUBATHON money was going to charity.

Would it have ultimately made a difference? Not really. All that news bomb did was immediately slit the company's throat, but it was already bleeding out over the last few months from talent and employees leaving, people not being paid what they were owed, etc.

If the company was magically solvent as a business would it have kept going? Sure. And the people who left this year probably wouldn't have left. But it's all academic, because they weren't solvent.

A bunch of the talents have literally retained their former VShojo talent managers, which suggests that yes, they liked them.

>would they be in trouble for X if they didn't do X?
...duh?
But Vshojo was bleeding money regardless and probably wouldn't have lasted much longer anyways.
The smart thing to do is to take the L like a man and file chapter 7 or 11 bankruptcy (I forget what the difference is). But gunrun decided to steal money owed to talents and attempt a ponzi scheme instead because he's a fucking retard.

I don't see the confusion here. Ironlungs and Vshojo kept each half of the charity money.
Ironlungs could not care less who kept the other half as long as she got her cut. That is why remained silent for years, and only know she came "clean", before this was made public by other means...

>kept half of the charity money
They kept all of the charity money, AND the rest of the money from the subathon that was supposed to go to mouse.
Anyway, the answer's no, the company ran out of money a year or so ago, and should've either talked to the talents about the option of taking a cut of subs/bits to recoup lost money, or just declared bankruptcy back then, instead of trying to save a sinking ship by taking on more crew and stealing money

Yes I think they were planning to debut Gura and Fauna together repeating kson/Nazuna combo but with actual numbers this time and they could survive another wave of graduations just fine hell keeping kson or fucking kuro in probably wasn't all that lucrative. IM pulled the plug from this shitshow but they had new members lined up, enough to keep it going for at least two more years. Feels like members were always against expansion though probably aware it would make them more disposable so it's pretty clear to me both sides were lying for a long time and never really trusted each other despite the public image.

Anon, her coming out was the entire reason vshojo collapsed that day.

Man, I can't believe it took her 5 years to discover they hadn't donated the charity money....
I just don't understand how it could take her a decade to find out....
She didn't directly ask the charity "hey did you get the money the company I trust said they gave you?" even ONCE in 25 years??
Wow, she's really fucked up....

Sure, but it's very dumb to say "oh she left because she suddenly didn't want part of this trashfire" when she's the only reason that trashfire ever went public

Shit was about to hit the fan. Talents were quitting, while Ironlungs remained silent... The end was imminent, the rat who also happened to command that ship left before it sank. And grift as much as she could from it.

She just knocked out the block that caused the Jenga tower to collapse. If Ironmouse wasn't involved, it would've been something else (most likely Kson leaving) or an exodus of talent before announcement of shutdown.

Not really. Geega and Zentreya already left due to not being paid. Kson planned to leave on the 31st of July as well. Henya probably too (?)
I think what could have helped VShojo survive if they had better accounting and were more transparent to the talents early on, and the leadership would have had to make sacrifices (reduce their own salaries, fire useless friend employees).

And even then the revelations by Vei would have been a ticking time bomb. Most talents wouldn't have stood for, because it is a betrayal of the very ideals they believed in.

The whole thing was doomed, though, because somehow the leadership managed to blow through $13 million weithin 2 years.
