Because you are retarded. It is 30% on youtube, and on twitch it might as well be 0 since most donations aren't going through twitch.

i don't want to gobble on corpocock but it is pretty insane how services like youtube and twitch can even exist. especially youtube. it's almost impossible to comprehend what kind of technical infrastructure is behind that site and people just take it for granted like it's the most obvious thing in the world

And in the case of members, SCs, donations etc. they also need to supply the infrastructure for payment processing, which includes stuff like credit card fees and the like.

That's actually incorrect. If you're just a partner then it's still 50%. It becomes 40% if you're partner plus level 1 and 30% if you're partner plus level 2

Corporate income tax is taken from Cover's cut, not the talent's. No company takes corporate income tax from their employees or contractor's payments.
The talent gets $35 of every $100 superchat. Then they have to pay the appropriate income taxes, of which they are all likely in the top percentage income bracket.

What percentage of memberships does YT take? I've read less than SCs but I never saw real confirmation

I'll write splits as streamer/platform:

YouTube has the 70/30 split on the revenue received by google (e.g. for apple pay, you need to remove 30% apple tax first, then split).

Twitch is a bit complicated:
Bits: 1 Bit = 1cent for the streamer, but buying Bits has a 60-30% upcharge (the more you buy, the better)

Subs, 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 depending on your partner tier. You get 60/40 if you have 100 subs (excluding prime and gift subs), and 70/30 if you have 300 subs.

Isnt this exactly what ex-nijis accused niji of doing? Paying corporate taxes directly out of talent cuts?
