>>103100831 (OP)its just one of those things that "feels bad" when laid out in black and white like this, but in reality is just the business and there's nothing really wrong with it, in a pragmatic sense.
superchat = paying money for visibility, possibly being noticed and acknowledged on stream, in a chat that is otherwise too fast to notice *everyone*.
for like 90% of the audience being acknowledged isn't even a consideration, you are just there to enjoy the stream. then for some % they want to really be noticed and don't mind paying money.
however in the EN fanbase i feel its a much bigger % that wants to feel like a main character, take part in discord circlejerks, constantly spamming chat/SC/twitter for replies and act like some "leader of the community". you have all those fags named like "Nerissa's Right Horn" etc that seemingly want more attention than the streamer themselves. japs seem happier just blending in with the crowd, by and large.
if it really bothers you and yes there is a sensible, if cynical perspective, "paying money for a cartoon e-girl to notice you is pathetic as fuck" you have two options. either you can ignore that aspect and just enjoy the streams, or you are in the wrong hobby entirely and should go do something else.
and just on a different note, there is a different culture for the most part in "interacting with chat" from Hololive to a typical Twitch stream. on twitch it's normal and expected that you are CONSTANTLY reading chat and sub/dono messages. in Hololive it's more like you enjoy the entertainment given and reading SC or interacting with chat is an entirely dedicated stream / stream segment in its own.
personally that's something i like because most twitch content is fucking unwatchable with constant chatter shit, notifications etc.
