Yagoo's reluctance to show their revenue already hints towards them not being very profitable. There is literally zero reason why you wouldn't want to show off your international success with raw numbers instead of using cope figures from Youtube. It's hard to believe how VShojo fucked it up. Their number one priority should have been securing the income: Merch suppliers. Took them years, and they would be looking good now with fewer tariffs and lower shipping. Their talents wouldn't be leaving either if they were getting a stable income.

HoloEN was great as long as they had Gura, because Gura was moving merch home and abroad. Now, apart from FWMC, no one else is really moving merch in Japan from the EN branch. And if you can't move merch, if you don't have enough mind-share to make sponsorships and brand-collabs worthwhile, then you aren't going to move the revenue needle.
Now I do believe that every single talent in HoloEN, even the lowest low tiers, are earning enough so that they are breaking even. But everyone who's "about breaking even" is hurting profitability and that's a liability long term.
