Moe, Comdust, Snuffy, Bunny and FeFe were all part of the Cream Pi, which was the group that prelude VShojo, the others were Momo + first VShojo's (except Hime) + Vei.
With the revelation Momo was planned but got rug pulled from it, it's not far fetched they also used the other Cream Pi's as the base for VShojo, but the theory falls flat because both Snuffy and FeFe applied and never were part of it even before of it.
To be fair, 2020 Moe is way too different to current yeah, even her friendship with Comdust and the others is really weird.
