Sadly, fps vtubers are just not a market that exists outside of Japan. Doki and maybe Zen are like the only exceptions, but even they mostly do variety, and Doki has far more pull in the EN scene.
If they want any kind of direct line to the western esports pros, they'd likely want to work with the bird, but since they've effectively unperson'd her, I don't see that happening. Not to mention that she'd be brought up in literally any attempt to break into the scene seriously by tourists in like 85% of streams.

I could see them approaching Ironmouse or even Filian in some capacity, though.

Too little too late. Aiming to expand their audience via getting on Twitch is a mistake for them. They already have an iron grip on YouTube views, they should just maintain this instead of trying to diversify. The indie scene on Twitch in the west are all totally different from the vibe Hololive purist fags and unicorns want and even collab'ing with them in any infrequent capacity would render the board unusable with an insufferable amount of bait threads and tribal drama fuckery. The boat has sailed. This is Yagoo trying to convince people they have a robust plan for further expansion when, in reality, they've already let go of their opportunities for targeting this market years ago. Indies in EN will gracious accommodate Hololive and support them, of course. But the twitch side is populated with a different breed of fans. I do not expect fans of Neuro, Bao, Shylily, CyYu, Amalee, Zentreya, Ironmouse, and all to also share Twitch mindshare with the Holo talents. It's just not feasible.
