Although there's decent amount of overlap, I think it's important to recognize that each social space has its unique population and preferences. So, naturally, if you want to get a well-rounded perspective on what the fandom as a whole thinks about something, you're going to have to visit all 3 enclaves.
There's other big reasons like laughing at schizos, ease of participation, or lowest barrier to entry, but the above is something I don't really seen brought up a lot. Also, I'm aware that vtuber forums and Discord servers exists, but they're too small or terrible for having discussions, respectively, to be influential in the wider cultural zeitgeist.
