In my eyes, if someone wants to talk about EN vtubing, there's only 3 places to do it: twitter, reddit, and /vt/. Although there's decent amount of overlap, I think it's important to recognize that each social space has its unique population and preferences. So, naturally, if you want to get a well-rounded perspective on what the fandom as a whole thinks about something, you're going to have to visit all 3 enclaves.
There's other big reasons like laughing at schizos, ease of participation, or lowest barrier to entry, but the above is something I don't really seen brought up a lot. Also, I'm aware that vtuber forums and Discord servers exists, but they're too small or terrible for having discussions, respectively, to be influential in the wider cultural zeitgeist.

I'm not sure if influential is the right word, but this is one of the few places that isn't a disgusting hugbox where if you don't agree with the hivemind, you're shunned and treated like a plague victim.

Far too many chuubas only get their feedback from youtube cucks that endlessly glaze them, or xitter troons that witch hunt anyone threatening their cum-stained hugbox.
