>A Non-Vtuber Content Creator verbally denounces their own audience and mocks them (that they cultivated and is the sole reason they are even popular to begin with)
>Huge backlash, and now people can't stand them (that content creator who did such a thing)

Its a problem in general, like for example a non-vtuber content creator would be idubbbz, there have been many vtubers who do this thing of:

>Make ASMR(the lewd kind) content, or GFE content/flirt with chat
>Do this for years
>It comes out they were dating someone, OR they support someone else dating someone while doing GFE/ASMR content for fans/flirting with fans
>Then get mad at their own fans they cultivated when the fans dare get upset
>Everyone else also jumps in to mock/hate their fans

same reason that if that tea app was men complaining about women it'd be considered the most heinous thing ever but if women do it it's stronk.

if women shit on their audience they're stronk, not simply assholes. the problem is both the general meta of people falling over themselves to be visibly supporting strong women actions online combined with her existing fans afraid to displease her. often the fandoms self-police themselves to make that literally not doable without them dogpiling you for it, and other they'll play dumb going "she didn't mean that at US fans" or all else failing, are simply not yet pissed/disappointed enough to leave the fandom over it. like if Rushia still has fans basically anything is possible. however this is ignoring the fact she has lost most of her fans and is still a definite black sheep in the chuuba landscape, it's not like she's had 0 consequences. it's just not enough to end her career.

You're comparing actual denouncements (idubbz and anyone else who did the 'reformed edgelord' thing) to imaginary mental gymnastics denouncements (did GFE while not single), but you probably knew that. If Nimi outright said her old fans were pathetic cucks the reaction would be very different

yes she fucking did. she knows what a ton of her fandom is comprised of and knew to avoid males the entire time in holoEN (and for 6 months post debut and even to this day outside the lore drop). she knows it'd hurt like a dagger to the heart and is just selectively highlighting everyone is "wow so understanding and nice <3" as a kind of further diss, like "discussion about the repercussions of this is not even on the table, hope you're happy now keep buying the merch and membering"

women tend to avoid a direct confrontation in a situation like this and will just talk around it assuming that you implicitly understand. only in a true menhera crying/ranting crashout would she directly denounce her fans, she wouldn't just honestly say it.

Women do often get away with having a shit attitude but unicorns aren't giving vtubers a good impression when they call them wh*res for playing video games with a guy. Hololive does seem to have more heated issues with the EN branch and many of them clearly hate idol culture.

this unfortunately, the eagerness to drive off schizos also by proxy enables an overly-defensive stance to flourish as well.

it'd be nice imo if people could treat chuubas like any other media. normally, it's ok to say you didn't like a movie or video game for reasons X and Y. but schizos going insane with their anti-ing and orbiters forcing hugboxes in return ruins regular discourse from both directions for vtubers.
