My oshi isn't grooming me, well maybe not except the literal dog-grooming kind of way.
For me, getting thinner and in shape was a complicated response to where I was at in my life. I think people who get into vtubing tend to be very troubled, and there's a shame response where you try to "fix" yourself.

Also I think seeing a female entertainer succeed without their physical appearance being a factor really freaks a lot of guys out, and it leads to them rethinking how they relate to their own bodies.

You can't stream the route or POV of course because there'll always be some creep. But a person in a reasonably well off shape could still communicate with the viewers if they were put text to speech or something.
This is one of the things I'd do if I was female (and vtubing was thus a viable career). Many nerds could use a weekly run.
