Simple: it's another topic I don't care about that gets removed from the pool. Moreover, it's harder for a third party to disrupt the stream if the streamer is going out of their way to hide their existence.
Focus on the fucking game, LP-ers have been doing it for literal decades and are still going strong without constantly talking about irrelevant shit like the color of the bench you saw on your way back home at the expense of the stream.
There is nothing that makes me leave a stream faster than the player talking over a cutscene without either reacting to what's presented to them or sharing their thoughts on it. That and retards spamming Stinger in DMC games for more than 10 mins.
