Shit taste.
She definitely wants to and has wanted to for years but just kept coping that she's okay with wasting away in her apartment in America. That being said if she does decide to now she'll either need to find a sponsor, start a company with an office, or go back to school.
Her best choice would be to go to school IMO since that way she could aim to pass the N2 and get an extra 10 points on her permanent residence application. The problem with that though is that most of the points come from your salary and knowing Japan they probably won't count indie streaming income for it.

I didn't even realize she was streaming earlier. Time to catch up on a comfy HL2 vod. She's been playing pretty fun/interesting games lately. Have these games been your guys' suggestions or has she been choosing these herself?

Streamers buying houses is risky. If people find out where they live then they're at constant risk of a schizo breaking in or something. Remember when Vox got doxxed and his whole family had to move? Or when Gavin from Achievement Hunter was dating some Instagram model and someone who was into her broke into his place trying to kill him? Or when Dr Disrespect had his house shot at?
It's especially dangerous in a place like America because of the last 2 being a lot more likely.
Apartments tend to be a better purchase for streamers since they're cheaper and it's easier to sell quickly and move around with them.

In Japan she goes out and does stuff (if it's in Tokyo but she's mentioned it only being worth moving if it is). In America she's talked about how she never leaves her place for anything other than buying stuff, taking Bootaro to the vet, or visiting family and friends.
I've been trying to move there for a few years for similar reasons and honestly I get it because if there's nothing you care about where you live then you really do end up just staying indoors all the time which isn't horrible but it's not a good way to live.

I'm catching up on it too and I'm laughing at how often she doesn't see the path to go. If you listen to some of the HL2 developer commentary, they had to edit areas of the game because playtesters like Mint would get stuck and wouldn't see the correct way to proceed. Making games is hard.
