The only time we've seen negative growth, that is people unsubbing outpace people subscribing, is during the selen shitshow. So in order for any large vtuber to see an actual drop in subscribers a month is to do something that pisses off 100% of people. It can't be something that pisses of only a fraction of the population. While i do think unicorns are a larger percentage of people who spend on merch, it would be silly to assume that she would see a drop in subscribers for something that people cant publicly get mad at
