It was always their talent.
The only reason anyone ever cared about VShojo was because they cared about the talents.
So the talents leave, go back to being indie, and the company folds. Nothing of value is lost.

The thing is just that the IP belonging to the talents just meant that the collapse had no real impact. Literally all of them are still streaming except for Melody who went into hiding (gee i wonder why)

People liked the VTubers, they maybe also liked the ideals that VShojo promised, but not the company itself.
Credit where credit is due, talent owning the IP made VShojo's fall fairly inconsequential for the audience, expect for the damage due to the money owed and talents having to deal with legal stuff to get sorted out which is gonna take some time.
It's also that the company fell because of the leaderships idiocy, so that makes it fairly simple.

What else specifically would you expect to happen? The corp didn't own the talent IP, so the talent continue on and do whatever they want to do. They'll all have to figure out their merch situations, but even then not all merch was handled centrally by the company.

For however rotten VShojo's business would up being on the inside, a situation like this was the entire benefit of talent controlling their own IP. The corp dies, and the talent live on. From a viewer perspective, not much changes.

Reputation is everything in this industry. It's far harder to start momentum all over again than to continue from where you left off.

Why would I care about a company? This is a hobby focused around individuals doing videos or streams. The company is there to facilitate that, it is not worthy of any sort of praise, admiration or spite.
