Lesbians are cute(not the butch ones) and yuri is a huge thing in anime related culture, women fall in love with the idea when they're young, but as they age the monkey brain literally starts to beg for children and a husband. It takes a lot of propaganda to rewire what our genes tell us to do.
Men fall harder for prison gay stuff mostly because we don't have as many partner options as women(a lot of men have none), but for a gay woman who still has a lot of men after her, is way harder not to eventually cave in.

No, it's more along the lines of Fauna being a hetreosexual girl who led on Kronii, and when Kronii tried to make a move during their off collab the panic set in for Fauna and told her she was straight and likely in a relationship. This was Sally all over again, but Kronii made a point this time to set as much interactions with Fauna as she could get away with.
