Yes, i do agree that they were partial and, as result, hypocrites. I may give them the benefit of the doubt (as it wasn't intentional) because it was probably stemming out of frustrating personal situations.
What they miss and aren't probably unable to acknowledge is that streamers in general tend to fall within the b-cluster personality types (especially narcissistic and histrionic) and sexual "predatory" behavior is a marker of that, so not a gender related problem per se.

The power dynamic is flipped in the case of streamer - viewers, the active decision of the streamer is sufficient to weed out undesirable elements just by behaving in a way or another (the chat reflects the streamer), plus viewers are confined within the streamer's chat unless the streamer itself makes an active attempt in reaching out.

In your case could be the, very possible but unlikely, scenario of the streamer projecting some personal trauma over its codependency with their chat.
