Ever seen a gondola in the woods? They just stare. Weird fellas.

Had a minor heart attack today when I noticed my gif (and by extension my webm folder) suddenly vanish from it's regular spot. Luckily, I was able to find it.

I can speak for myself and say that I simply drifted away for a while as life got more relaxed and focused. But now I'm stressed and aimless again and hey, whaddya know, I'm back. I miss the old community these threads used to have, I hope everyone's doing well, even if they're not here anymore.

it's because the threads usually do not offer anything new that's of value - I have a feeling it's mostly a couple of the same people reposting their favorite pieces over and over and over and over, and the majority of the rare new OCs miss the mark by mixing up what a Gondola should be and what /wsg/'s YGYL is, and you end up with Gondolas with weird energetic/unfitting music that just kinda... is, but doesn't elicit any response.
But it's not over yet, it will be over when someone organically posts their fresh OC and it will be a Gondola with monkey rap in the background, and other anons will unironically call it soulful or /feels/ or nostalgic - that's when it will be over.

The colors, the difference between the uniform blob of people and the main character, they all still create the impression of the gondola being somehow separate or desolate and not "with the current" of its scenery, even though it seems to participate at first glance.

I'm not here often but I have been coming to these threads since around 2014, and i will keep coming here as long as they exist. It's just life, people come and go. Stay true to yourself and make the best of your own abilities. It's all you can count on when things get rough.

Gondola is an observer, not a participant.
The moment Gondola is pictured as an active participant it gets reduced to a "hey I know him" kind of mascot that is then placed in the most unfitting of settings and contexts.

Not to say that it's always bad, that one viking Warduna Gondola comes to mind, but it should be emphasized that it's a divergence from form.
