Recently, my Phone started doing this thing where it automatically turns on the lock screen when I pick it up. I hate this. I want to turn it off, but I don't know how. Does anyone know how to deal with this? I've already googled around and couldn't find a solution.

Android version 14
Moto g stylus 5g - 2023

Note: For "Wake display" I have both tapping the display unchecked, and moving the phone unchecked
"Jump to lock screen"(double tape to wake) is disabled.
"Put display to sleep"(double tap to sleep) is disabled.
There's an app called "Moto Actions and Gestures". That's been force stopped.

the option should be "lift to check phone", it is under "lock screen" in the settings on my pixel. motorola may have fucked around with the software and moved it somewhere else.

Can't find "lift to check phone". Searching "lift" in settings, pulls up nothing.
On a hunch, I thought it might be hidden within the moto actions and gestures app. So I re-enabled it. Opened it, and found a setting called "lift to unlock". It was already disabled.
Testing again, lifting still turns on the lock screen.

I believe our menus are in fact different. For me, it goes like this
Settings > Gestures > Lift to Unlock
Or
Settings > Home & Lock Screen > Lock Screen > Wake Display > Moving the phone

I don't know why the phone has two methods of waking the phone with motions, but it does. Both are disabled. I'm thinking there might be a secret 3rd option that's still enabled.

No. At least, I don't think so. The option that appears to do this is called "lift to unlock", which is disabled. Yet, it still goes to the lock screen when I lift.
And I can't find any other options that might control this function. I tried searching "wake" in the settings. Which then shows me a setting called "wake display". This option is also disabled.

go to your phone's settings and tap on the build number multiple times, that will unlock the developer settings, it might be in there

I opened developer settings. I don't see anything that looks relevant. Closest relevant option is "stay awake - screen will never sleep while charging". But I don't need it to stay awake. I need it to stay asleep.
