I need speed!
Google's answer thing at the top of the search results swears they exist. This is the closest I've found. Huge fucker that charges for significantly more things than I need. Limit is 60x, unless.you can prove it uses a different method than torque. Again, must be compatible with Windows 10 and 11, so the 72x is out unless it's design was updated.
I had a CD explode a few years ago, then I lowered the maximum speed to reduce the chance of that happening again.
Had to buy a new drive because the shattering ripped off the lens assembly.

It splits the laser into several beams to read faster.
>>1530340Any that are compatible with Windows 10 or 11?
>>1530339Any at 40x that don't charge for multiple things that I'm not going to use?
What's a good site to ask about this on?
Is there still a way to update a drive from XP compatibility to Windows 10 or 11?
>>1530316 (OP)>>1530466>>1531187>compatible with Windows 10 and 11What the fuck are you talking about? They're optical drives. There shouldn't be anything special about them that would make them incompatible with Windows 10.
If you have an old drive that worked for you back on Windows XP, it should work fine on Windows 10 as long as your PC has the right connectors, and it's not physically broken or worn out.
Well, a 32x that I'm looking at has installation software that you have to use and it calling everything a music cd is suspicious over how it might treat things. People talk about compatibility issues and other problems with the 72x. Where I look, it seems like nobody else wants to sell over a 24x, even though there were multiple and numerous things over that speed.
