Did you verify the generality of the error with other display hardware?
To make sure there no synergistic effects you should try it with a third completely different signal output source when the monitor is not connected to anything else regarding output.
Rule of three is usually a good measure for verification. Then you can use the warranty.

Well it was connected per HDMI to my Nintendo Switch while the PC was turned off (PC uses DisplayPort). The same horizontal lines were seen there as well.

+ Camera phones store orientation in .exif
+ 4chan strips .exif
+ pics end up being posted oriented weird ways
One Solution: Open pics in an editor ( M$Paint actually works great for this ) save the pic oriented correctly, post that pic. - since M$Paint doesn't use .exif for orientation, 4chan(nel) posts pic correctly

Thank you. I keep that in mind next time when I use. I usually just use screenshots. But I cannot use snipping tool to screenshot the monitor menu.
