What can you do about file names when you want them to look cleaner instead of random characters?
Used to be you could hide the file names but after Windows 10 they removed the option.

If you highlight a bunch of files and rename one, the others get the same name with a number attached at the end. There are also bulk renamer programs that have more format options.

For small sets of images, you can view by thumbnail to find what you're looking for. For larger sets, you need to get in the habit of setting names or sorting by date.

If you really want to hide names again for some reason, try alternative file managers.
