How do you safely rename a user's folder without causing Windows to crap itself?
I thought about creating a new User and transferring everything but I don't know how to do it safely and effectively.

I want everything to remain identical. (I've personalized everything and altered too many settings to do shit all over again).

I've done this before and it ruined several random programs that I assume had used my old username for configuration. You could try creating a new user, copying and overwriting everything in that new user, and seeing how much stuff still works.

A LOT of work because dependencies using absolute paths to the folder.
You will have to change keys in the registry etc etc.
The easiest way would still be to create a new user, overr the course of a few days transfer everything important over to it (sometimes reinstalling programs) and then deleting the old one.
