My ocr isn't picking it up and also writing software isn't picking it up either

I don't think that is a kanji at all. Post the whole word or sentence so we can tell what it is supposed to be. One option is that it is either ソ or ン, which are katakana for "so" and "n" respectively, followed by a comma.
